The Union League of Philadelphia, founded in 1862 as a patriotic society to support the Union, offers three unique golf experiences: The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale, Union League National Golf Club and Union League Liberty Hill. 1862
The Union League of Philadelphia was founded in 1862 as a patriotic society to support the Union and the policies of President Abraham Lincoln.
1896
Torresdale Country Club was founded and later named Torresdale Golf Club.
1920 to 1921
Torresdale Golf Club and the Frankford Club come together to form Torresdale-Frankford Country Club. Donald Ross was contracted to build the new golf course.
1926
Roxborough Country Club relocated to Lafayette Hill, the future site of Union League Liberty Hill.
2003
Gary Player redesigned and expanded the Eagle Lodge Golf Course in 2003, which would become the Ace Club. This is the current routing for Liberty Hill.
2014

Year Built: 1921
The Union League merged with Torresdale-Frankford Country Club and renamed it "The Union League Golf Club at Torresdale."
The League invested in renovating the historical clubhouse and restoring the golf course.
2018
Architect: Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry
Holes: 27
Year Built: 1997, 2018 (Fry, Straka)
The Union League acquired Sand Barrens Golf Club and hired original course architect Dana Fry and his current partner Jason Straka to renovate the golf course.
2021
Architect: Gary Player
Holes: 18
Year Built: 2003
During the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic, The Union League acquired The Ace Club and renamed the property "Union League Liberty Hill".
2022
Torresdale announced Andrew Green had been hired to restore the golf course to its Donald Ross roots.
2022
The Union League successfully hosted the 2022 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship at Torresdale and Liberty Hill with an opening ceremony at the League House.

National's completed renovation debuted in July 2022.
2024
A 9-Hole reversible short course, The Landing, opened in May 2024 at Torresdale!
